NOBODY.
I just finished my group presentation and it went extremely well. Thank you all for your prayers. God answered them ALL... all at the RIGHT TIME! Our God is an awesome God.
1) I panicked a little this morning when Chris didn't show up at 8am. The presentation was at 8:30am! So Kunal and I quickly talked about the backup plan and decided that if Chris didn't show up on time, we would all have to present our own slides. But who's gonna back up Chris' slides? we later found out that Ian was good enough to back up Chris on his slides. Praise God for that. After praying a lot for Chris to arrive on time (cuz we didn't want to present), he showed up at 8:14am. Thank you God.
2) Chris did a phenomenal job. It was simple and to the point. I could feel the group shaking while Chris was talking cuz everytime when he wanted to explain things, we were scared that he would talk tooo much. I had faith in him though.
3) the question/answer period was pretty good. Although the TAs asked hard questions on x-ray crystallography, Chris answered them with confidence and it left the TA speechless. Also, our own TA asked our group about a functional assay, no one knew the answer except for ruby who happened to have read an article about a functional assay last night and vaguely remembered what the assay was about. She was unsure whether the answer was correct, but when she said the answer and explained things, both the TA and the prof nodded their heads and looked quite impressed.
4) Last night, Kunal and I got together to finalize the ppt. Kevin, our TA, was impressed with our ppt. Our diagrams were awesome! =)=)
5) Remember how last night I asked you all to pray for imitiaz for the handout and for ruby to check webct more often? well, not long later, ruby went crazy on webct and responded to our questions and comments at the
speed of lightning! Thanks to Ruby and Imtiaz, our handout LOOKS AMAZING!!! very professional!
I am just soooo thankful that God answered everything and made our presentation perfect today! All glory goes to Him. Kevin was super impressed with our presentation and said it is the best presentation so far!!
Remember how I also wanted to know why God has placed me into this group? Well, for those who don't know the story... I was 'supposed' to be with my friends (ie. akash, ivan and mulder) for this term's group project but because we didn't have enough people to form a group, we all had to separate and go to other groups. Akash left first but I wanted to stay with mulder and ivan. I didn't want to make any eye contacts with the prof and I also prayed so hard that I wouldn't have to be moved. Unfortunately, the prof picked me to go to another group. I was SO sad at the time and complained a bit..... =( I just didn't know what God was doing cuz I CLEARLY told Him that I wanted to stick with my friends cuz we work well together.
Looking back, God moved me eventhough I screamed and yelled, because He knew I wouldn't work well with ivan or mulder's group. After I got moved, it was then did I realize that their group is really competitive. Everything must be 120% perfect and they dont trust anyone but themselves. God knew. He knew even before I knew. man......
And the thing is, my current group is awesome. We work REALLY well together and we don't mind helping each other out. We have one great presenter and we have so many people to do the paperwork. Each member is talented in some way. Just perfect. Kevin, our TA, is definitely awesome as well. Not only is he Chinese from Hong Kong but he always give us suggestions to do better. Today, he came really early to class to be prepared for our presentation, ( perhaps he was as nervous as us?) eventhough he didn't have to. When the projector didn't work, he ran across campus to find a replacement. Honestly...he really cares for us and wants all of us to excel in this presentation.
Whereas for ivan's TA, he's just mean. I am glad I dont have him as my TA. Meanmeanmean!!!
God is just sooo nice to me. He said "NO" to me because He knew this group would be more suitable for me. I know I am going to learn lots and do well in other group projects with these people.
I am in awe.
There is no one like our God.
