Weak
What's left to do when you've already tried your hardest? studied your best? Nothing seems to be going the way I want to which is causing me to feel very discouraged. I have been envisioning myself crossing that finish line on April 14, but it seems like I will never get there. At this point, there is nuthing I can do but continue to pray and seek His kingdom. I am weak, but He is strong.
I kindly ask for your prayers.
Some encouraging quotes:
"I think you're studying too much. That's why you aren't doing well in school." -my brother, 2009
"Marks don't mean anything when you're in heaven." -Jon Ting, 2001

Reading Week 2009
I guess my (last) reading week was quite eventful. I planned to use the week for school and God. I wanted to spend a lot of time with God through fervent prayers, bible reading and just really prepare myself spiritually for the last 6 weeks of school. Praying hard for God's guidance to finish strong even though I have been quite discouraged by my marks lately. Although I didn't get to do any fun activities (even my msn was busted!!!), my reading week was very fulfilling.
I spent a total of 20 hours in the library this week...which wasn't too much. But thank God I had maro with me to keep me company. I also spent alot of time with my parents and keeping them company.
I went to encounter night @ Westside on friday. I had been praying about this night for the entire week and wondering whether I should go. I have never been to a westside 'encounter night' before but alot of my hccf friends have told me in the past that it was a great night of encountering God--whatever that meant in their own way. I thought it might be like a Praise Night kinda thing but it was nothing like it. Marilyn came with me that night and I am ever glad that she went. As a new Christian, I believe it made her know God more, which is awesome! When we arrived, it was kinda awkward cuz we were directed to this room where there were no chairs. Apparently, we were supposed to sit on the floor. The night started off with a set of songs, followed by a message by a speaker.
The night proceeded with prayers. Everyone, whether young or old, was praying sooo intensely. I took a break from praying and saw people lying on the floor praying, standing up praying, sitting down praying. There was this elderly woman who looked around 90 yrs old, was jumping up and down, praying. People were praying for healing, for power, for strength, for wisdom and for anything else. It was also my first time hearing someone "speaking in tongues". I have never heard the "tongue language" before but I automatically knew when the speaker started praying. The funny thing is, I have always wondered what "speaking in tongues" sounded like, and I am glad I was able to hear it. I really can't describe it but it does not sound foreign at all. It doesn't even sound like a language. It sounded like an animal talking? The speaker was praying outloud in English and then all of a sudden, he started rolling his tongue really quickly? The sound was very high pitched and there was a lot of throat sounds (glottal stops). And then all of a sudden, he goes back to praying in English.
I have always been quite fascinated by this "speaking in tongues" phenomenon, so I decided to check it out. Despite how fascinating wikipedia is, it is very unreliable. Can someone explain this whole "speaking in tongues" phenomenon to me? Does it happen when you're most in-depth in faith? does it occur when the Holy Spirit is speaking through you? How come I can't speak in tongues? Am I conscious when I am speaking in tongues?
hmmmm.......

library is love
I just can't stress enough how much I love the library. It is quiet and spacious. And occasionally, you get this strong smell of food. haha.
When I grow up, I am going to buy a house that's next door to library so I can walk there every single day. That's one of my life goals.
I LOVE YOU, COURTNEY PARK! (it is the name of the library, not a person).
kthxbye.

panic attacks
I get panic attacks once in awhile. I get scared all of a sudden. I feel like I have to do something. I feel like if I don't do well on this assignment then my future is gonna suck.
I just prayed. God instantly took away my panic attack. He just calmed my heart.
OH YAAAA!!
I know eh, God is magical. He can do things faster than the speed of light!
oh ya, anyone interested in BBT?!?!?! hollaaaaaa!

Valentine's day
My Valentine's day was fun. I spent the day with my loved ones.
The day started off with me going to zoe for praise and prayer where I got to pray for people and spent some musical time with God. I went home at around 3pm and spent the evening with my parents and ate a yummy dinner. And then I went out with my 2 favourite single ladies, maro and kei, to Symposium at Meadowvale Town Centre for some awesome appetizers and desserts. The atmosphere was soooooooooooo romantic! There were couples everywhere in that restaurant but that didn't bother us at all, cuz we were spending valentine's day with people that we love. The night ended with us taking many pictures on maro's mac and a game of apples to apples.
My valentine's day was awesome! I hope you all had fun.

Cheaters
Cheating is one of the biggest turn-offs for me. I always feel very angry and a bit of hatred towards cheaters. The problem is, I don't know how to deal with them. Here is my motto: if you cheats once and you know that you're wrong and promise to never to do it again, I let it go. But when you cheat again and again, knowing that it is wrong to cheat after I tell you numerous times that it is wrong and you still do it anyway, in a CONCEITED manner, then that's VERY unacceptable. At this point, I usually stay away from you as far as possible and don't want to talk to you at all. As a Christian, should I be like that? How should I act towards someone like that?
The person is a great friend of mine and I got to know him more over the years. He's a person that likes to cheat in school. In fact, he always encourages his friends to cheat cuz he says that it is a really easy thing to do. He has tempted me to cheat before but I refused cuz God hates cheaters. Anyway, my friend gets really happy and tells all his friends that he had cheated after writing a test. I tell him that it isn't right. But he says that everyone cheats in that class. He even teases me by saying, "the entire row of Koreans cheated for that test!". I got really angry and quickly asked him, "so did you end up doing well in that course?" he replied, "yup! I got an A-. Thank God I cheated on the first test! it was worth 40% too". Right there and then, I got sooo mad and just walked away. I wasn't particularly mad at my friend but I was just sooo mad at God for giving someone a good final grade when all he did was cheat and not put effort. I dont cheat, not even once, and I don't get an A- that easily without putting in a lot of effort. To be honest, when I heard that, I thought about cheating. But then right when I thought about it, I felt SO embarassed. SO naked. So sinful. I started to cry....
Anyway, after that, another friend talked to him about another test. Apparently, that friend came into the test room late so she had to sit with another friend side by side. She told us that their shoulders were even touching. That's how close they were so they were able to do the entire test together. My friend got really jealous and super mad cuz he didn't have a friend with him in his test room so he felt like he lost the opportunity to cheat.
There was also this time when we were talking about buying textbooks. My friend told me that there is no use in buying txtbooks cuz he said that he won't be using it anyway after the course. He told me that he's just gonna buy it, photocopy it and then refund the book. I immediately told him that it isn't a right thing to do but he didn't listen. He knows it is a bad thing to do but he keeps telling me that the textbook is worth 100 dollars and he doesn't want to "waste" money.
What should I do with this person? I just can't stand him anymore cuz he cheats over and over again even after telling him that it is wrong. He knows it is wrong but he still does it anyway. He lies, cheats, and manipulate others. Is it a wrong thing to do to stay away from him?

Sore
I went home this weekend for two things:
1) my mom's b-day
2) gym day!!!
I would have to say this soreness is from the latter. It was my first time playing dodgeball since who knows when. Grade 4 maybe?
I wasn't sore after playing but I was super sore this morning when I woke up for church. My left side of the body is quite sore, especially my left butt cheek and my left thigh. I can't laugh or cough or sneeze either cuz my stomach hurts when I do those things. I have been limping all day.
Man, I definitely need to exercise more. or maybe next time when I play, I shouldn't move too much. HAHA.
back at mac. =(
